Dear Colleagues,



As you may be aware, we are currently seeking candidates for several committees within ESICM.What you may not be aware of is how integral these roles are to the success of our organisation. Over the past few years, our Society has grown dramatically and our structure has altered to reflect these changes.



Several of the positions opening this Autumn are within the newly-renamed e-Learning Committee and Examinations Committee. The recent election of Hans Flaatten to the HSRO has opened the position of Chair of the Clinical Training Committee, and after three years of dedicated service, seven positions within the CobaFaculty are up for election. All of the people who are selected for these positions within the education and training division of our Society will play an essential role in shaping the direction of this area in ESICM in the years to follow.



All in all, this serves as an exciting and important election for ESICM and an unmissable opportunity for members with a keen interest in these areas of intensive care medicine. So, if you have a passion to work towards furthering standardisation of ICM education and training in Europe and beyond, we urge you to apply for one of these positions before the call for candidates closes on August 20th, 2014.
